"After the Crossing"

"This is one of my favourite photographs as, to me, it captures both the
behaviour of the wild herd and the atmosphere of Africa. The herd have
just crossed the River Sabie in the Kruger National Park, South Africa.
With the light shinging off their wet backs, the elephants are marching
toward the matriarch, who is turned checking what's going on. Close
inspection reveals several young babies. I took this photograph from
a higher position on the opposite bank, using a 500mm lens ".
